Arsenal welcomed Lens at the Emirates Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to secure a win in the UEFA Champions League. The Gunners made a good start to the game and scored the opening goal in the 13th minute when Kai Havertz found the back of the net. Gabriel Jesus doubled Arsenal’s advantage in the 21st minute before Bukayo Saka made it 3-0 to the North London club just two minutes later. Gabriel Martinelli got his name on the scoresheet in the 27th minute before Martin Odegaard found the back of the net in the dying embers of the first half. Mikel Arteta‘s men were leading 5-0 at the half-time break.

Jorginho added another goal from the penalty spot in the 86th minute as Arsenal cruised to a dominant 6-0 win at the Emirates.

GK: David Raya – 7/10

He made a few solid saves at the back and secured an important clean sheet at home.

RB: Takehiro Tomiyasu – 7.5/10

Tomiyasu was solid when defending inside his half and managed to bag a couple of assists in the first half.

CB: William Saliba – 7/10

The French talent dealt with the danger when needed and performed well enough to earn a clean sheet.

CB: Gabriel – 7.5/10

He made a lot of clearances on the defensive end of the field and was strong in the air.

LB: Oleksandr Zinchenko – 7/10

Zinchenko kept things solid at the back but struggled to influence the game going forward.

CM: Martin Odegaard – 8.5/10

Odegaard was a positive influence at both ends of the pitch and managed to score a good goal in the first half.

CM: Declan Rice – 7.5/10

He anchored the midfield with conviction for Arsenal and had a good game at the centre of the park.

CM: Kai Havertz – 8.5/10

Havertz scored the opener with an easy finish and engineered a couple of inviting chances in the final third.

RW: Bukayo Saka – 9/10

Saka was a constant menace in the opponent’s half and ended the game with a goal and an assist to his name.

ST: Gabriel Jesus – 9.5/10

The Brazilian talent scored a fine goal in the first half and caused a lot of headaches for the Lens defenders. He has even got an assist to his name.

LW: Gabriel Martinelli – 8.5/10

Martinelli was a real threat on the left flank and managed to score in the 27th minute.

CB: Jakub Kiwior – 6.5/10

He was solid at the back and was lively on the ball.

White kept things tidy when defending inside his half.
