According to a deleted Instagram post from his wife, Andrea, Jesús Sánchez will leave Chivas after 14 years at the club.
With his contract set to expire next month, it was long expected that the 32-year-old’s time in Guadalajara would end after 313 appearances.
“Be sure that up there they are very proud of you because you are capable of closing cycles and reinventing yourself,” Andrea wrote.
“Today we close one of the most difficult.”
Sánchez won the 2015 Apertura and 2017 Clausura titles, as well as the 2017 Clausura tournament and the 2018 Concacaf Champions League.
Sánchez was named to the Liga MX Best XI during their magical 2017 Clausura double.
