20-year-old Cody Drameh has shown plenty of potential for Leeds United so far having got three Premier League appearances under his belt.
However, at such a young age, it wasn’t surprising that he asked for a move away back in January and he joined Cardiff City on loan making 22 appearances for the Bluebirds.
Since then new boss Jesse Marsch has come in and it seems the player is less eager to push for a move away and rather push for a first team spot at Elland Road.
Nevertheless, that didn’t put a stop to interest in the defender from the Championship as Cardiff were credited with wanting to bring the youngster back for the upcoming season with Wales Online also reporting that rivals Swansea City had a loan offer rejected.
With that in mind, Drameh’s immediate future looked to be pretty clear. However, Marsch’s latest update suggests there’s still decisions to be made as he told the Yorkshire Evening Post: “What happens with him going forward, I think it’s not totally solidified one way or the other quite yet.
“The window is still open. I think he knows he wants to play games and that’s important for him, but we also value having him here. So we’ll see how that next week goes and exactly what comes out of it, but I can just say that in the moment, I think he’s fully a part of our team, in our club and he has a big future here.”

The Verdict:
It’s hard to call right now with Marsch leaving the door very much ajar, but it looks as though Drameh could be set to stay at Leeds until at least January.
It’s clear that the Whites boss sees the youngster as part of his side and whether that means game time immediately or not, that will be a big boost for the defender to know he’s wanted.
That being said, Drameh has made it clear already that game time is important to him and you have to wonder how much of that he will get in the Premier League this year.
Therefore, with that transfer deadline so close, it could be a case of seeing how much the 20-year-old is used between now and January and then sanctioning a move away then if more minutes are needed.
