Talk about shooting yourselves in the foot.
Celtic had just been given a huge let-off after Dominik Szoboszlai’s second-half strike for RB Leipzig was ruled out after Timo Werner was offside and found to be in the eyesight of goalkeeper Joe Hart as the ball flew into the net.
A free-kick was awarded instead but pretty much instantly Scottish champions somehow conspired to gift their opponents a goal anyway.
Hart played the ball directly into the path of Szoboszlai who simply laid the ball into the path of Andre Silva to slide into the bottom corner and give the Bundesliga side the lead.
Oh how quickly the fates can work against you.
