Midfielder Jean Michael Seri has praised manager Liam Rosenior for his approach to changing Hull City’s style of play and turnaround in form since his appointment.
Hull’s fortunes have been completely transformed since the arrival of Rosenior with a newfound belief being thrust upon the squad.
Rosenior arrived in November after Andy Dawson spent eight games in caretaker charge following the sacking of Shota Arveladze at the end of September. He has transformed City into a side that believes it can push up the table and into the top half.
Whilst that might be a stretch, the significant change hasn’t gone unnoticed with experienced midfielder Seri coming in for high praise for his new manager.
Speaking to Hull Live, Seri explained: “If you ask in the beginning of the season, some players would say that ‘we’re just here to play and stay in the Championship’.
“But when the new gaffer came in, he said ‘we can be there, we have the potential to be there and you are good players, I believe that we can be there‘.
“It gives some players, some young players the energy to believe that we can be there and it’s made a difference. You can see a lot of players playing with confidence, with full confidence.
“It was the same players, they haven’t changed, they just had their mentality switched on and that’s it.”

The Verdict
Rosenior really has transformed the club.
His style of play is a difficult one to implement as well, especially when results haven’t been going their way and confidence is low.
However, principles have been stuck to and confidence drilled into the team which is now paying off with results. A play-off push might be a stretch at this point, but to even have the conversation about a promotion push just shows how much of an impact Rosenior has had in a short space of time.
