Javier Saviola: “Inter’s Lautaro Martinez Is The Striker Of The Future” | OneFootball

Legendary Argentine national team striker Javier Saviola has sang the praises of compatriot Lautaro Martinez and named the Inter striker as one of his current favourite players.

The highly rated 23-year-old is into his third season with Inter and his second as a good as guaranteed starter in Antonio Conte’s team and is widely regarded as one of the best young strikers on the planet at the moment alongside the likes of Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland.

“I like him very much. He is complete, intelligent, he knows how to move very well, for me he is the striker of the future,” Saviola explained in an interview with Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.it.

“I hope he will do great things with Argentina too. He has to grow further, but he is already one of my favourites.”

Lautaro joined Inter in the Summer of 2018 from Superliga Argentina side Racing Club and has went from strength to strength in his time with the Nerazzurri so far.

Lautaro, who is contracted to the club until the end of the 2022/23 season, has made a total of 91 appearances across all competitions to date for Inter, in which he has scored 44 goals and provided nine assists for his teammates.
