'The feeling is always incredible, but when you're a footballer, you approach every match in the same way. You always want to do well, play a great match and win. But it's true that when you hear the Champions League anthem, it's a slightly different feeling.'

How important are the fans at these big matches?

'The fans always have a big impact on the players, and there's a mixture of emotion and respect. We know that the fans are very committed, that they follow us when we travel and they travel a long way, so we have a responsibility to repay their faith and passion. I experienced that in Argentina and here in Paris. It's important, because they give us so much on the pitch.'
