Jasper Cillessen has been linked with a return to Ajax as Valencia are unhappy with the goalkeeper’s form this season.
The 31-year-old stopper spend five seasons in Amsterdam before a move to Barcelona in 2016.
After three seasons at the Nou Camp, Cillessen was sold to fellow Spanish side Valencia last summer for the substantial fee of €35m.
However, Los Ches do not feel that they have had their money’s worth and, according to Mundo Deportivo, are preparing to cut their losses on the Netherlands international.
There appears to a merry-go-round developing in terms of goalkeeping moves at some of Europe’s top clubs.
Valencia apparently want to bring Neto as back from Barcelona a replacement for Cillessen, who would be returning to Ajax as André Onana exits.
Neto himself has only spent a season with Barça after switching clubs with Cillessen last summer.
Onana is keen on a return to Catalonia where he spent much of his youth career.
However, Barça are not interested in signing the Cameroon international, preferring instead to promote Iñaki Peña from their B team to act as back up to Marc-André ter Stegen.
While the Blaugrana may not be interested in Onana, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, and Borussia Dortmund are all said to be monitoring his situation.
