Jason Holt virtually called it time on his Rangers career this summer after deciding to join St. Johnstone on a season-long loan deal in the final year of his Rangers deal.
Holt played 115 games for the club, scoring 15 goals and 19 assists, and helped Rangers win the Championship title in 2016.
“I think it is the best option for myself and my playing career, so it was something I was eager to do,” he said. “I loved it at Rangers.
“We had some good times, some disappointing times where we didn’t quite achieve what we should have and played with consistency, but overall I really enjoyed.
“The manager here (Tommy Wright) had made it clear to me for a while he wanted to sign me. So it’s good when you have someone putting in that effort to bring you in the door.”
Rangers will be back in action on Saturday when they host Livingston.
