Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite has penned a new long-term contract at the club until 2030.
The 23-year-old's previous deal had two years left to run and reports suggested the Toffees would need to sell amidst interest from Premier League rivals.
Branthwaite made the switch to Everton back in 2020 from Carlisle United and spent time out on loan at PSV Eindhoven and Blackburn Rovers before establishing himself as a key figure in the defence.
Last season, he made 33 appearances across all competitions, despite suffering a groin injury in the early weeks of the campaign.
“The trust the Club's put in me and how many games I've played over the past two seasons has made it quite an easy decision for me to stay and to keep progressing as a player," Branthwaite said in an interview with evertontv, after putting pen to paper on his new deal.
“I know the Club. I feel loved by the players - we’ve got a good group here - and the fans.
"Over the past few years, I’ve seen the impact the fans have on us as a team and how much it means to them.
"And, obviously, with the new stadium we’ve got here, the new ownership and the new manager, it's an exciting project and it's something I want to be part of."
