OH Leuven have announced that on loan Polish striker Aleksander Buksa has returned to parent club Genoa. The 20-year-old striker failed to make a single appearance for the first team during his loan spell, instead spending most of his time with the U23 squad, where he scored five goals in 16 appearances.

This now makes Buksa the fourth of the summer arrivals to depart the club during the winter transfer window. After Joao Gamboa returned to Estoril on loan and Santi Ramos Mingo went to Argentina, Raphael Holzhauser was loaned out to 1860 Munich till the end of the season.

OH Leuven are currently ninth in the Belgian Pro League, just one point outside of play-off two. However, they are on a poor run of form, with just one win from their previous five. Marc Brys side face Sint-Truiden this weekend, who are the side directly above them. The Canaries are in slightly better form, with two wins from their previous five matches.
