Southampton defender Jannik Vestergaard has revealed how his side are revelling in their nasty side this season.
Their quality was on display last weekend at Stamford Bridge as they battled back for a 3-3 draw against Chelsea.
Speaking about the confidence within his side’s ranks, the 28-year-old believes it has now reached a point where nobody wants to play them.
“I’m confident at the moment but I think the whole team are,” Vestergaard told the Southern Daily Echo.
“We’re in a very good place and I genuinely believe that everybody thinks it is a tough game – to play against us.
“We thrive within that. We know we can be nasty and we have developed our game on the ball as well.
“I really do think that we’re a very good Premier League team and in the past few games we’ve shown that.”
After losing their first two games, the Saints have now rebounded with two wins and a comeback draw in their last three games.
