There has been another Premier League switch on Deadline Day this time between Aston Villa and Southampton.

Centre-back Jan Bednarek will now play at Villa Park having signed a season-long loan with Steven Gerrard’s side.

The interest surrounding the player arrived after Villa lost new signing Diego Carlos to a long-term injury.

Additionally, reports claim the 26-year-old Poland international eyes more playing time ahead of the World Cup.

During his time with Southampton, Bednarek registered seven goals and four assists in 158 appearances.
