Coventry City have been linked with Jamie Paterson recently, as the January transfer window continues to rumble on.

The attacking midfielder has not played much for Swansea City this year, and has found himself largely limited to appearances from the bench which no player wants to happen to them.

It could be the case that he moves, then, and Coventry are being linked with an interest in him so here we’re breaking the link down into whether it might be a good move…

Is it a good potential move?

On the face of it yes.

He’s a player that has something to offer despite not being used much by Swansea this season and hopefully we’ll see him challenging for a starting spot after being limited for minutes in Wales this year, if he moves.

He’d certainly be hungry to show what he can do.

You would expect him to push for a start pretty quickly.

He’s a player with lots of talent and his experience at this level is well-known.

Coventry are looking at signing players that can boost their squad and first-team and take them to new levels and this seems a good opportunity to do so.

He’s a good, versatile player that knows this level really well.

There’s lots to like about Paterson and you feel as though Coventry would benefit from what he could add to their attacking line, with his clever movements and ability on the ball.
