Jamie Carragher tagged Gary Neville in a Tweet that celebrated Liverpool overtaking Manchester United as the most successful club in England.
The Reds won the UEFA Super Cup on Wednesday evening, taking their total trophy tally to 43.
Their triumph on penalties against Chelsea saw them move a trophy clear of the Red Devils which Carragher used as an opportunity to troll Gary Neville on Twitter.
👀 @GNev2–
Liverpool might have played terribly against Chelsea but Jurgen Klopp and his stars will be emboldened by winning more silverware and Southampton away this weekend is the perfect chance to get back to playing great football.
Adrian emerged as the hero at the Vodafone Arena as he saved Tammy Abraham’s penalty to win the shootout for his team and that save will go a long way to easing fears that he can’t serve as an apt replacement for Alisson.
The Reds travel to Southampton this weekend for their next Premier League fixture and will be hoping to get their second win of the season as they continue their push for their first league title since 1990.
