James Ward-Prowse reveals the reason behind his superb West Ham form | OneFootball

James Ward-Prowse has praised the work done behind the scenes at West Ham after his fine start to life in east London.

Ward-Prowse joined the Hammers after spending his entire career to date at Southampton.

But the England international has been a revelation for David Moyes’ side, scoring two and assisting three times in his opening six games.

But the former Saints man has refused to take credit for his excellent start and instead praised the work done by everyone at the club to make new players feel welcome.

“Everybody at the club has been incredibly welcoming to me,” he told West Ham’s official website.

“I knew  a couple of the lads before arriving here, which made things easier, but the Player Care team, all of the staff at the training ground, everybody has been so welcoming to me, made me feel straight at home and allowed me to do my thing on the pitch.

“Of course the fans have been terrific, and it helps that we’ve had a good start and we’ve had a few performances against some of the top teams. There are plenty of positives and lots to build on.”

West Ham are currently seventh in the table and face Newcastle next up.
