He may have scored in Bayern Munich’s 3-1 win over Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday, but if reports are to be believed, James Rodríguez is not a happy bunny.

The Colombian was brought on to replace the injured Corentin Tolisso just before half-time and found the net to seal the three points for his side in the 89th minute.

But according to Fox Sports correspondent Ezequiel Daray, James was not happy about being on the bench at all.

“Although he scored one goal and the other was disallowed, James Rodríguez left quite angry,” says Daray.

“He thought he would start this game because Niko Kovač asked him to stay and not to travel with Colombia.

“He has to play against Benfica for Champions League in the week and Kovač already said: ‘I have very good players and everyone is going to play.'”

After returning late due to his participation at the World Cup, James had played just 18 minutes of football this season prior to Saturday’s game.

On Friday, German outlet Kicker reported that Bayern believe the 27-year-old will decide to return to Real Madrid at the end of the season.

The Bundesliga champions signed the playmaker on a two-year loan deal with an option to buy in the summer of 2017 and if he does return to Madrid, the Spanish giants will likely have to pay a compensation fee of around €13m.
