James Milner makes 'lightning' recovery from hamstring injury

Milner damaged his hamstring in the Reds 0-0 draw with Manchester City 10 days ago and was expected to miss at least their match with the Terriers this coming week.

However the ageless midfielder has recovered much better than anyone at Anfield expected, and has been given the go-ahead by the medics to be included in their squad for the game with David Wagner’s men.

It’s great news for Jürgen Klopp who looks likely to be without Naby Keïta for the trip to Yorkshire, after he pulled up in Guinea’s African Cup of Nations qualifier with Rwanda on Tuesday.
