Leicester City have confirmed that James Maddison has been named as their Player of the Season for 2021/22.
It has been another phenomenal campaign for the England international as he campaigns for a place in Gareth Southgate’s starting XI in Qatar.
Maddison has been sensational in 50 games across all competitions, contributing heavily with 16 goals and 11 assists.
His form helped Leicester nearly reach the Uefa Europa Conference League final, falling to Roma in the semis.
This is Maddison’s first such award for the club, with Youri Tielemans, Jamie Vardy, Ricardo Pereira, and Harry Maguire being the four most-recent winners.
Maddison won Player of the Season with Norwich City back in 2018.
