The Nigerian midfielder, who previously played for Real Zaragoza, first joined Wisła in February 2023. During the last season, he featured in 27 league matches, providing four assists. Despite these solid numbers, the partnership was brought to an end when his contract expired.

Since then, several options had been explored. Bruk-Bet Termalica Nieciecza appeared to be leading the race. Śląsk Wrocław also expressed interest in the midfielder. However, it now looks like Igbekeme is set for a return to the heart of Lesser Poland, with Wisła Kraków ready to welcome him back. This comeback comes amid tempered expectations. With 45 appearances in Wisła's colours (Polish second division), the 30-year-old is no stranger to the club.
