Nottingham Forest return to The City Ground tomorrow evening and will be hoping to make further strides towards the play-off positions.

The Reds have significantly improved under Steve Cooper’s stewardship, with the division’s top six a definite possibility.

Drawing three out of their last four matches, Forest will need to start converting a single point into three if they are to compete with the division’s best as the season progresses.

It is Luton Town who visit The City Ground tomorrow night, with The Reds a point below The Hatters.

Here, we take a look at how Nottingham Forest could line up for tomorrow’s clash at home to Luton…

Brice Samba has firmly established himself as number one at Forest over the last couple of years, and he is likely to start against The Hatters tomorrow.

Cooper has been flexible with how he sets Forest up since taking charge, but given Luton’s tendency to operate with three centre-backs, the former Swansea City man may decide to match them up from the start.

Joe Worrall and Scott McKenna have featured regularly under Cooper thus far, and if three centre-backs is deemed the best way to approach this Luton game, then Tobias Figueiredo is likely to be given the nod.

Djed Spence has been excellent since arriving on loan from Middlesbrough, with the young wing-back causing chaos going forward and showing his ability to defend too.

Max Lowe suffered a groin problem against Reading at the weekend and is likely to miss tomorrow’s clash. Gaetan Bong is likely to get the nod in his place.

Ryan Yates is suspended for Luton’s visit, meaning Jack Colback could be partnered by either James Garner or Braian Ojeda.

Brennan Johnson has been absolutely superb for Forest this season, and he is likely to operate on the left-wing from the very start.

Joe Lolley has also shown his excellence at times this season, and he should be handed another start tomorrow.

Lyle Taylor and Lewis Grabban have been fighting it out for a starting position under Cooper, with the latter winning the battle the majority of times thus far, but the former could be trusted against a side who he tends to score lots of goals against.
