The 34-year-old was not called up by Steve Clarke for the games against Greece and Belarus and appears to have made the short journey across to Ireland.
The most decorated Celtic player was in attendance to watch Dundalk beat Finn Harps to seal a return to the LOI Premier Division. A supporter spotted the Celtic star in the stands and was able to get a picture in the stand.
Forrest will be looking to get himself and the Celtic attack firing again as they look to really kickstart the season. Despite being a veteran, Forrest still has a lot to offer the club due to his qualities on the ball, even if his pace isn’t what it used to be. After failing to replace Nicholas Kühn, Celtic are still light out right.
The player will be back at Lennoxtown as Celtic prepare for their trip to face Dundee at Dens Park next weekend.

Meanwhile Jamesy finds himself in a Scottish Premiership title race at the moment against his own brother Alan who of course plays for Hearts. You wonder what the banter’s like around the family dinner table but Jamesy’s who has been over the course and distance previously and has the medals to prove it.
Football talent runs deep in the Forrest family as Jamesy’s sister places for Glasgow City.
