Can you name one of the game-changing players in Bayern Munich’s thrilling 3-3 draw with RB Leipzig? Here’s a hint: he’s just a teenager.
After coming on as a substitute to replace Javi Martinez, 17-year-old Jamal Musiala was a decisive player for Hans-Dieter Flick’s side.
His performance, which included scoring after just five minutes on the pitch, earned the praises of both his manager and teammates.
“[The game] changed when Jamal came in,” said Flick after the match.
“He’s always making himself available and asking for the ball. What he’s showing for his 17 years of age is already very mature.”
Bayern veteran Thomas Müller also had nothing but positives for the Englishman.
“When a 17-year-old comes on, the for even a player as talented as him to play a game like this, is high. He had some great moments today,” he said.
“In some situations, you could still see his inexperience. He can work on that over time.”
“I’m very happy with him.”
Musiala currently has 13 appearances for the club and three goals to his name.
