Even though Jamal Musiala was born a little over three years before Manuel Neuer made his Bundesliga debut, he, amazingly, expects to be team-mates with the Bayern captain for the foreseeable future.
Musiala also thinks the same of Thomas Müller. The 32-year-old, who Musiala is often compared with, has recently been linked with a shock switch to Premier League sides Newcastle and Everton.
“Thomas is a great guy and footballer, there’s no one else like him,” Musiala told Bild.
“There is no one in professional football who can talk as much as Thomas. Just like Manu [Neuer], he’ll play for a few years yet.
“Manuel Neuer is 35 and soon 36. Despite that, you can’t see him stepping back any time soon. I think he can keep goal for Bayern for another four or five years.”
As Bayern’s youngest-ever player, the 18-year-old Musiala has proven himself to be a vital player in Julian Nagelsmann’s side, contributing 13 goals and six assists in 64 appearances in all competitions.
