SAN JOSE, Calif. – The 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup continued with Jamaica earning a 2-1 win against Guadeloupe in Group C on Friday at PayPal Park in San Jose, California, USA.

Thierry Ambrose placed Guadeloupe in the lead in the 32’ with a right-footed shot inside the box, assisted by Noah Cadiou, to cap off an elaborate play off a corner kick.

Leon Bailey leveled the score in the 41’ with a left-footed strike in the middle of the box to meet a ground pass from Warner Brown.

Jon Russell placed Jamaica in front in the 45’+4’ with a header across goal to meet a cross by Demarai Gray.

Andre Blake preserved the lead in the 90’+9’ with a save on a close-range attempt from Florian David.

The victory gives Jamaica its first three points of the campaign. The Reggae Boyz will meet Panama at Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas, while Guadeloupe will meet Guatemala in Houston, Texas, in a decisive final matchday in Group C on Tuesday.
