Rangers are already making room in their squad for the arrival of winger Ryan Kent by sending Jake Hastie out on loan.
The move does come as something of a surprise given that the highly-rated youngster only arrived this summer from Motherwell.

But with Kent set to return to Ibrox, playing time would likely have been even harder to come by.
Hastie has made just two appearances for the Gers since signing and will now spend the campaign on loan in League One.
The deal is subject to international clearance.
