Jadon Sancho has reportedly attracted the interest of Napoli who have already revitalised the career of one Manchester United star.

The 25-year-old spent the previous campaign on loan at Chelsea who managed to achieve their objectives under Enzo Maresca by winning the Conference League and qualifying for the Champions League.

However, the London native only impressed in some of his early outings before being reduced to a second-choice player. Therefore, the Blues opted to pay a £5 million penalty to relieve themselves from the obligation to buy the player for £25 million.

Hence, Sancho will return to Man United this summer, but Ruben Amorim has no plans to reinstate him, especially after signing Matheus Cunha, with Bryan Mbeumo potentially on his way.

In fact, INEOS consider the sale of the former Borussia Dortmund star essential to raise transfer market funds. The same applies to fellow outcasts Antony, Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho.

Speaking of the young Argentinian, United fans would remember how he was heavily linked with a move to Napoli in January, when Antonio Conte’s men were keen to sign a replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

However, it appears that Man Utd’s high asking price for the 20-year-old remains a stumbling block for the Italian champions, so they have decided to turn their attention to a more affordable target.

Napoli plotting Jadon Sancho move

According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Napoli will make an attempt to sign Sancho this summer after succeeding in luring Man City legend Kevin De Bruyne.

This would allow the winger to reconnect with Scott McTominay who enjoyed a sensational first campaign in Italy after making the move from Carrington last summer.

The Scottish midfielder was named the MVP of the Serie A season as his decisive goals and overall contributions played an instrumental role in Napoli’s Scudetto triumph, and cemented him as an instant fan favourite at the Stadio Maradona.
