Jadon Sancho returns to Matchday Squad | OneFootball

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jadon Sancho returns to the team’s matchday squad ahead of Wednesday’s midweek Bundesliga match against FC Union Berlin.

The English international missed more than a month with a muscular injury which sidelined him in both legs of the Champions League quarterfinal against Manchester City.

The return of the 21-year-old should give BVB a boost in their pursuit of a top 4 Bundesliga finish. Before this round they were four points behind Eintracht Frankfurt and five points behind VfL Wolfsburg. However, Frankfurt managed to extend the gap back to seven points with a 2-0 win over FC Augsburg on Tuesday.

Dortmund coach Edin Terzic underscored the importance of nursing the midfielder back to full health as they want him to be of service for the remaining games of the season which could entail a DFB Final.
