He explained, "We want to start the new season with a clean slate.
"There will be a new coach. We look forward to getting to know his ideas and plans for the team.
"I need to think positively, my career is just beginning. Hope it takes off soon. It was a difficult season, especially as a former Manchester City player, because this club has achieved a lot in recent years."
