After a disappointing draw away to Heidenheim on Friday evening, Borussia Dortmund head coach Edin Terzić let his frustrations be heard when speaking to the media after the game.

With squad players given the chance to shine against the newly promoted side, they were unable to make the most of their opportunities, leading to widespread criticism of BvB’s performance.

However, thankfully for the Black and Yellow’s, there is finally some positive news regarding the status of the squad.

As confirmed by Terzić via Sky Germany, Marco Reus, Gregor Kobel, Julian Brandt, Julian Ryerson, and Karim Adeyemi will all be available for selection as Freiburg travel to the Westfalenstadion on Friday evening, while Felix Nmecha and Sébastien Haller remain absent.

“We are in good spirits due to the fact that very, very many players are returning. We have many opportunities to react to things,” remarked the BvB head coach, referring to the likely changes that will be made against Freiburg.

Nevertheless, as well as the return of a plethora of players, Jadon Sancho will also be an option after completing individual training this week.

The Englishman has been able to prove his quality for a second time in the Bundesliga since returning from Manchester United, and Dortmund will be hoping for him to stay injury-free for the remainder of the season as they look to remain in a Champions League qualification spot.

If they are to do so, then they will want to bounce back in style when they welcome Christian Streich’s side to the Westfalenstadion.

BvB are able to boast a phenomenal home record in the Bundesliga against Freiburg, with 14 victories and one draw in their last 15 meetings, and with key players returning, it is a run of form that does not appear to end anytime soon.
