Chelsea registered a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Aston Villa in the Premier League recently. The latest win would give them a lot of confidence and courage going forward. They will next play Southampton in an away fixture this week.

The Blues will aim for nothing less than a win as they would like to keep the momentum going. It will be a crucial game considering they will face Tottenham Hotspur after this game. Enzo Maresca’s men would like to head into that clash in their best form and shape.

Defence

Robert Sanchez put on one of the best performances of this season. He will take charge between the sticks once again. Malo Gusto is likely to walk into the XI at the expense of Moises Caicedo at the right-back position.

Unfortunately, Wesley Fofana suffered a hamstring injury and will be sidelined long period. In his absence, Benoît Badiashile should form the heart of the defence with Levi Colwil. Marc Cucurella keeps his left-back position in the lineup as usual.

Midfield

Enzo Fernandez is peaking at the right time and his selection shouldn’t be under the radar. However, Romeo Lavia can lose his spot to Moises Caicedo in the middle of the park.

Attack

Adjudged as the player of the match against Villa, Cole Palmer operates in the central areas. Pedro Neto also keeps his spot on the right flank but Jadon Sancho is expected to start on the bench.

Noni Madueke should be filling Sancho’s position on the left wing with Nicolas Jackson leading the offensive line once again.

Omari Kellyman (hamstring), Reece James (hamstring), and Wesley Fofana (hamstring) are all sidelined for this fixture.
