As the January mercato nears, AC Milan are preparing themselves for any possible investments, and the final evaluations are taking place before the window opens.
There are several areas in which Milan would love the luxury of improving next month. In an ideal world, they would. However, the mid-season mercato rarely offers such a chance to do that, so the Rossoneri must be smart.
Signings – or at least the positions – must be targeted, however, opportunities can arise at any point, as Paulo Fonseca stated today, so the Diavolo must ensure that their business allows further movement, especially in areas where it is required.
Today, Alessandro Jacobone has reported that the club had a meeting with Riso at Casa Milan, where the agent presented several opportunities to the club that could occur in January, or in the summer. The agent, who is heavily respected among the Diavolo’s recruitment team, first recommended Zappa, the Milan fan who scored a brace last season, due to his expiring contract.
Following this, Lorenzo Lucca was also presented – which was also reported this morning – and this idea would be explored if Tammy Abraham does not improve. Finally, Bryan Cristante could also be an option, with his time at Roma all but finished – he presents a good profile for registration.
