Jacob Ramsey 'to see specialist' as injury ends U21 Euros campaign

Aston Villa midfielder Jacob Ramsey is set to see a specialist and could require surgery after suffering an ankle injury over the weekend.

That’s according to the The Athletic, with England confirming the midfielder has left the U21s camp and will play no further part in the European Championship.

Ramsey suffered an injury and was substituted as England beat Portugal in Sunday’s quarter-final.

The midfielder left the stadium on crutches and it is now unclear whether or not he will be back in time for the start of the 2023/24 Premier League season.
