Chelsea entertained West Ham United at Stamford Bridge earlier today as they hoped to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Blues made a decent start to the game and scored the opener in the 15th minute when Cole Palmer got his name on the scoresheet. Conor Gallagher doubled Chelsea’s advantage at the half-hour mark before Noni Madueke found the back of the net in the 36th minute. The home team went into the half-time break 3-0 up on the scoreline.

Nicolas Jackson joined in on the goal-scoring act in the 48th minute before going on to score again in the 80th minute. The contest ended with Mauricio Pochettino’s men earning a dominant 5-0 win in front of their home fans.

LB: Marc Cucurella – 7/10

Cucurella got stuck in with a few solid tackles but offered very little going forward.

CM: Moises Caicedo – 8.5/10

He anchored the midfield relatively well and made a few good runs with the ball. Caicedo has got an assist to show for his efforts.

Gallagher caught the eye at times on both halves and ended the game with a goal to his name.

He caused a lot of headaches for the opposition defenders and ended the game with a goal and an assist to his name.

Palmer was a real menace in the final third and managed to get his name on the scoresheet in the 15th minute.

He was a threat at times but didn’t manage to register a goal today.

ST: Nicolas Jackson – 10/10

Jackson was a constant menace up top and managed to score two goals. He picked up an assist as well and deserves to be named the man of the match.

He failed to register a goal.

His impact on the game was minimal.
