FLW brings you the latest news on the wide-spread interest in the Sunderland winger.

Sunderland have a lot of work to do to hold on to their top assets, but the one they might struggle most with is Jack Clarke.

The Wearside club and their fans will be hopeful that the recent appointment of Regis Le Bris as the successor to Michael Beale, four months on from his sacking, will trigger a positive domino effect for the club.

Dan Neil turned down fresh terms with the club so that he could wait to see who they brought in to be the next head coach, as per the Northern Echo. Teenager Chris Rigg, who is yet to sign his first professional deal, is believed to be in the same boat as his fellow northeast born teammate when it comes to this matter.

Neil's current deal ends in 2026, so Sunderland are in no imminent danger of losing him. The risk of losing Rigg is definitely there though, almost as much as losing Clarke.

The mercurial winger, 23, has caught the eye of plenty of top flight teams over the past season or two, and these are all the latest details on the interest in him.

Crystal Palace eyeing up Clarke

The south London-based club are looking at the Sunderland man, and Leeds United counterpart Wilfried Gnonto, as potential replacements for Michael Olise, who is set to leave Palace soon to join Bayern Munich.

This is according to HITC, who added that they have been watching Clarke closely, but that the Black Cats won't sell him for less than £20 million because of the large sell-on clause that was inserted into his contract by Tottenham Hotspur when they sold him to Sunderland two years ago.

Palace have had plenty of success with buying from the second tier. Olise himself, alongside Ebere Eze and, most recently, Adam Wharton all arrived at Selhurst Park from Championship clubs.

West Ham's "concrete" interest

Two separate Hammers bosses have liked the look of Clarke, according to Football Insider. They believe that West Ham's intrigue over the 23-year-old is "concrete."

He first caught the eye of former boss David Moyes, and now the incumbent Julien Lopetgui reportedly shares the thoughts of his predecessor.

Like the Eagles, West Ham are also believed to be keen on recruiting from the division below this summer. The Guardian reported that soon-to-be free agent Callum O'Hare and Hull City's Jacob Greaves are players that they are interested in.

Clarke appealing to Wolves

Football League World's sister publication GIVEMESPORT understands that Wolverhampton Wanderers like Clarke, but that a big price will need to be paid in order to get him.

Their sources have said that a bid in the region of £25-30 million would be required to get the winger away from the Stadium of Light. Furthermore, Wolves are supposedly unwilling to exceed the £20 million mark for him.

GMS added that Spurs' sell-on clause for the 15-goal man stands at 25%.

Wolves are at risk of losing star wideman Pedro Neto this summer. The Portuguese international, who is currently in Germany with his national team for the Euros, could be targeted by Arsenal, therefore creating an opening for Clarke to fill.
