Ivan Perisic targeted Champions League glory with Bayern Munich this morning after completing a loan move from Inter.
The Croatian will spend the 2019-20 season back in the Bundesliga and could be purchased permanently next summer.
Perisic scored nine goals for Inter under Luciano Spalletti last season, but Antonio Conte’s switch to 3-5-2 meant he was surplus to requirements in Italy.
“I’m very happy to be back in Germany,” Perisic told Bayern’s club website.
“Bayern are one of the biggest clubs in Europe. We want to try and win not only in the Bundesliga and the DFB Pokal, but also in the Champions League.”
Perisic put pen to paper on his new contract last night after completing a medical earlier on Monday.
He will be reunited in Bavaria with compatriot Niko Kovac, who has already coached the midfielder for the Croatian national team.
Perisic made 162 appearances for Inter in all competitions after joining from Wolfsburg in 2015, scoring 40 goals.
It remains to be seen whether he has made his last appearance for the Nerazzurri or whether Bayern will send him back to Italy next summer.
