‘It’s true that we’re quite impressive’ – Ibrahima Konaté praises title-challenging Liverpool | OneFootball

A win against Manchester United on Sunday will see Liverpool reclaim top spot in the Premier League. Speaking to Téléfoot, centre-back Ibrahima Konaté (24) has praised the Merseyside club’s level this season.

Liverpool already have one trophy in the bag this season, having beaten Chelsea at Wembley in February to win the EFL Cup. However, there is still a lot to play for this season. A victory over bitter rivals Manchester United would see Liverpool leapfrog Arsenal and reclaim top spot with just seven games remaining in the Premier League.

There is also the UEFA Europa League still to chase after. Liverpool will face Atalanta in the first leg of their quarter-final on Thursday. Should they progress, they would face either Olympique de Marseille or Benfica in the semi-final. In what is Jurgen Klopp’s final season at Anfield, there could be a trophy rush and Konaté has praised the quality of the side.

“It’s true that our team is quite impressive and if we give ourselves the means, we can be the team that nobody wants to play,” Konaté told Téléfoot.
