Team News

Lucy Ashworth-Clifford, as we reported on The Celtic Star earlier in the week, suffered an ACL injury in the draw away to theRangers last weekend and faces months on the sidelines. Both Scottish goalkeepers Chloe Logan and Rachel Johnston remain sidelined while it’s better news on wing-back Shen Menglu who has now recovered from her muscle strain and is in the squad, possibly coming on from the bench.

Fran Alonso likes to rotate his squad and select players who have been showing up well in training so it’s never an easy task predicting his starting eleven. Two who are almost certain to start are the top goalscorers Clarissa Larisey and Jacynta, both extra special talents and if you haven’t seen the before you’ll be both surprised and impressed by their quality and check out Larisey’s pace, she’s rapid!
