Tottenham have been drawn against Croatian giants Dinamo Zagreb in the last-16 of the Europa League. The London giants made it to this stage after a convincing 8-1 aggregate win over Austrian side Wolfsberger.
The Croatian side qualified for the Round of 16 after overcoming FK Krasnodar. Spurs travel to Zagreb for the first leg on the 11th before returning to the capital for the second leg on 18 March.
It is basically a favourable draw and Jose Mourinho’s men will be expected to qualify for the last eight. Of the other English sides in the fray, Arsenal drew Olympiakos while Manchester United have been drawn up against AC Milan.
Tottenham have faced Zagreb just once before in a competitive setup. It came in the same competition in 2008 where we beat them 4-0. Currently, the second-favourites behind Manchester United to lift the trophy come May. (h/t Football London)
Mourinho is a two-time winner of the competition with FC Porto and Manchester United. It remains to be seen if he can make it three with Tottenham Hotspur.
