It has been some years since Lionel Messi left FC Barcelona, but there is no doubt that the Argentine still remains one of the most keenly followed players among the Blaugrana fans.

Although the Barcelona legend did not part ways with the club in the best of ways and he felt a lot of resentment for the way he was treated in the last phase of his career at the club, there is still no doubt that Messi still loves the club that he graced for almost the entirety of his career.

This was somewhat clear from some of Messi’s recent comments, in which he praised the Catalan team’s form this season, and particularly highlighted the key role that the youngsters are playing under Hansi Flick.

Naturally, Hansi Flick was quite happy with this praise, and as Mundo Deportivo has highlighted, he expressed this happiness as he addressed a press conference ahead of the game against Celta Vigo.

The German tactician was honored to have received such praise from the Argentine: “It’s an honor to hear the best player in history say he likes this Barça. He follows the team closely and has his heart in this club. That means a lot to the young players and the squad.”

In addition to Flick, this praise will also mean a lot to the young players who are performing at a very high level in this Barcelona team.

There is no doubt that the German trainer has relied a lot on the youth talent at the club, and youngsters like Pau Cubarsi, Lamine Yamal, and Marc Casado have not really given any causes for complaint despite their lack of experience.

Hopefully, more youngsters will make their way to the first team under Flick in the coming months, and help Barcelona get back to their position of glory in Europe and Spain.
