Former Chelsea defender Jason Cundy is staying grounded on one new Chelsea signing arriving in the summer transfer window.
This news comes after Chelsea beat Real Betis to win the Conference League on Wednesday night after being a goal down at half time and turning it around.
The Blues ended up winning the game 4-1 in the end after a bit of a Cole Palmer masterclass in the second half, providing two beautiful assists for his team mates to grab crucial goals.
Although head coach Enzo Maresca is once again not willing to get carried away after this by insisting that Chelsea’s target for next season is not going to be winning the Champions League!

We as Chelsea fans have been tracking him playing in Brazil all season, and he certainly looks like the real deal. But former Blue Jason Cundy has made a good point below…
When discussing Estevao’s possible impact, Cundy told talkSPORT: “It’s the Premier League. It is a different league. It’s demanding in other ways that other leagues aren’t. He (Estevao) might take a bit of time to get that starting berth.
“Eventually, and I’ve seen the same clips as you, if he does develop physically and [grows] into the young man we hope and think he will, I think there will be a time when he’s an absolute must. First game of [next] season, not convinced yet.”
This is a great way to approach this arrival as we do have to be patient and calm with a young player arriving in a new league in a new country.
