Roberto Mancini has named a 31-man squad for the upcoming international break.
The Italy boss has recalled defender Giorgio Chiellini for the first time since Italy failed to qualify for the World Cup almost a year ago.
There is also a place in the squad for Nice forward Mario Balotelli and he isn’t the only Ligue 1 striker called up – 17-year-old Pietro Pellegri is in the squad for the first time a week after scoring his first goal for AS Monaco.
Alessio Cragno, Manuel Lazzari, Cristiano Biraghi, and Nicolò Zaniolo have also been called up for the first time in their careers.
