Italy remain at the very top of the UEFA Coefficient Ranking after the first legs of four Champions League games were played recently.

One Italian side played this week in the Champions League, as Lazio hosted Bayern Munich and picked up a deserved 1-0 victory over the German giants. England had one side involved, as Manchester City picked up a 3-1 win over Danish side Copenhagen.

This has brought about changes in the UEFA Co-Efficient rankings, especially for England. Italy remain on top with 14,285 points after Lazio beat Bayern. England climbed up to second after City’s win, and they now have 13,875 points and it would’ve been different if Bayern had beaten the Biancocelesti.

Germany are currently at 13,642, which suggests that they could still easily catch up on England. But Italy are well clear of second and third, with the top two set to get an extra spot each in the Champions League next season.
