Inter are preparing for the first derby clash of the season in Serie A tomorrow.

The Nerazzurri and their city rivals AC Milan go into tomorrow’s match off the back of very different European results.

Inter secured a draw away to Premier League juggernauts Manchester City on Wednesday to begin their Champions League campaign.

Milan, on the other hand, suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of English opposition. They were beaten 1-3 by Liverpool despite scoring an early goal.

On the other hand, in Serie A Inter had to settle for a point in their last time out. They drew 1-1 away to Monza.

Milan, by contrast, brushed aside Venezia 4-0 in the league last weekend.

Dimarco & Dumfries Favourites To Start For Inter Vs AC Milan

Inter coach Simone Inzaghi is getting ready to make his team selections for tomorrow’s match.

The Nerazzurri coach is naturally keen to go with something like his strongest possible starting eleven.

The biggest doubts have been on the flanks.

But according to the Gazzetta, Inter coach Inzaghi has all but made up his mind.

On the left flank, the newspaper reports, Italian international Federico Dimarco will start.

Dimarco was absent from Inter’s squad against City in midweek. This was due to a slight thigh problem.

However, Dimarco has recovered from that injury. And according to the Gazzetta, he will come straight back into the starting eleven for tomorrow’s derby clash.

Therefore, Carlos Augusto will make way, having started both Inter’s matches back from the first international break of the season.

Then, on the right, the Gazzetta anticipate that Denzel Dumfries will make his first start of the season for Inter.

The Dutchman is favourite over Matteo Damiran, the newspaper reports.
