Bologna coach Vincenzo Italiano hits back at Fiorentina director Daniele Pradé, who branded his celebration after a 1-0 victory at the Dall’Ara as ‘immensely disrespectful.’
Italiano’s Bologna beat Fiorentina in the Derby dell’Appennino this afternoon, but there was controversy after the final whistle as the Tuscans’ director Pradé criticised the ex-Viola coach for his celebration, adding that he didn’t salute his former players after the final whistle.
“He exaggerated,” Italiano said at a press conference, replying to a question on Pradé’s claims.

“After the previous two victories, I returned straight to the dressing room. I’ve always done it, and I don’t see why he should say certain things.
“I didn’t lack respect for anyone. I am sorry. He has my number if he wants to clear the air. I won a game, and I went inside to celebrate. Full stop. I didn’t do more. I am sorry he thought something different. To me, he got something wrong. If he wants to clear the air, he has my number.”
Italiano send his condolences to Fiorentina coach Raffaele Palladino, who was not on the bench as his mother sadly passed away in the morning.
“We share his grief. My heartfelt condolences go out to him and his family for the loss of his mother.”
