Italian Media Highlight The Toll Of International Break On Inter’s Squad

Inter will have to deal with the problems caused by the international break on their squad, particularly in the case of the South American players in the team.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, who highlight the issues of late-returning South Americans at an important juncture in the Nerazzurri’s season.

Inter’s first week back from the break includes massive Serie A clashes against Lazio this evening and then Juventus next weekend, while they host Sheriff Tiraspol during the week in a match which could be decisive in turning around their fortunes in the Champions League.

During this point at which the Nerazzurri will face major tests for their season, they will be unsure of how much they can rely on the likes of players who returned late from international duty with South American sides where they played three tiring matches.

Argentines Lautaro Martinez and Joaquin Correa returned yesterday evening along with Uruguayan midfielder Matias Vecino, and Chilean duo Alexis Sanchez and Arturo Vidal were exempted from the squad for the Lazio match due to having only returned early this evening.
