Inter’s attack this season has been, by the numbers, the strongest of any team in Serie A.

This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who note that in terms of all key attacking statistics the Nerazzurri come out on top for this campaign in the Italian top flight.

Purely in terms of goals scored over the campaign, Inter’s 78 so far in Serie A makes them comfortably top of the pile, whilst they also lead the way for shots on target with 235.

52 assists and 296 crosses are also the most of any team in Serie A across those categories, whilst their 240 corners are also the most, and the 18 goals scored with headers is also the highest of any team in the division.

The Nerazzurri may nevertheless go on to finish runners-up to city rivals AC Milan who have been more clinical and judicious with their opportunities, but little doubt is left as to their attacking prowess.
