Inter face a big potential headache in the form of the depreciating value of a number of players that they could hope to offload during the summer transfer window.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who note that the market of values of all of Denzel Dumfries, Marcelo Brozovic, Joaquin Correa, and Robin Gosens have dropped quite a bit as the Nerazzurri plot a summer transfer window where at least one sale would be necessary.

Inter would appear to have fairly clear ideas regarding which players are up for sale as the club are well aware that a minimum of one sale must be made to reach financial targets.

However, if the Nerazzurri had been hoping that just one sale would guarantee a big part of the total amount they are aiming to bring in, they could be disappointed.

In the case of Dumfries, there were reports that the asking price had risen as high as €60 million after the World Cup, but the Dutchman’s form in 2023 has meant that it is unlikely that any Premier League clubs will offer more than €25-30 million.

Brozovic’s value in any potential sale at this point in 2022 would have likely been around €50 million, but Tuttosport suggest has virtually halved given the fact that he is one year older and has dealt with several injuries in the interim.

In the case of Correa, the fee of €33 million that the Nerazzurri paid to Lazio for the Argentine means that they would want to get back at least €15 million, but even this would look optimistic considering that he has always struggled for fitness and form since his arrival.

Lastly, Gosens was signed from Atalanta for around €27 million, but now the German’s value would be closer to €15-20 million.
