Inter have decided to give up on signing Fiorentina talisman Federico Chiesa, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Florence based newspaper la Nazione.
The report details how the Nerazzurri have been attempting to sign the 22-year-old Italian forward for many months now, but the Viola have remained firm in their attempts to keep their talismanic figure. Due to the high cost of the player, €50 million, Juventus are the only remaining Italian club interested in acquiring the player.
Outside of Italy, Newcastle and Manchester United are both interested in signing Chiesa, the report continues. In both cases, the first offers weren’t up to scratch and the Florence based club have no issue in declining offers. Chiesa has made 32 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2475 minutes. In that time, he has scored eight goals and provided seven assists, but has struggled to impress as a second striker.
