Inter are hoping to bring in Udinese captain Rodrigo De Paul in the transfer window this summer and have had an agreement in place for months, Italian media claim.

The Nerazzurri have long been linked with the Argentina international, who has shown for Udinese since joining from Spanish club Valencia in 2016.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, Inter have already reached an agreement with both Udinese and De Paul over a transfer to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, and these have been in place for some months.

However, with uncertainty over the ownership of Inter during Suning’s negotiations to sell the club, the transfer for the 26-year-old did not go through and will need to be revisited in the summer.

Should Inter not be in a position to commit the funds to complete the transfer, they risk losing out on De Paul to competitors, with Juventus also thought to be keen.

De Paul has scored 30 goals in 169 appearances for Udinese, including five this season in Serie A.
